Web assignment #4

1. Who was Alfred Stieglitz and why is he noteworthy in the history of photography?

He ran the early part of the 20th century, he also introduced many avant-garde European artist to the U.S. He worked on making photography an accepted art form. He was a modern art promoter and an American photographer.

2. Choose a photograph he made, upload it to your blog, and explain why you chose it as you favorite by him.

I chose this picture was it was a really good picture and I think it was neat how he was able to make it look the way it does and I'm pretty sure that is O'keeffes hand I like how he always takes picture of her I think it is cute and very loving. I just liked this picture a lot.

3. With what famous painter was he in a relationship? Who was she? Upload a painting by her that you like.   

Her name was Georgia O'keeffe, she was a famous painter that was married to Alfred Stieglitz.

Extra: How did they influence each other in their art making?

They would support each other and they would be each others muse.

Sun rising in the morning at school..
Film strips in photo.
Alligator at the zoo, looked sketchy. Kind of like he is staring at you.
Sidewalk at the school.
Ugly bat I got a picture of at the zoo.
My converse, added a blur to the sides for more of a focus on the shoe.
Crumbs at a ticket booth, at the high school.
Bench at the high school with raindrops on it. Looked like it would be a cool picture if some editing was done to it. Turned out good.
A giraffe at the Oregon Zoo eating some grass.
The picture I took of a speed bump in the road. I thought it looked interesting.

Brownie Camera web assignment #3

1) What is a Brownie Camera?

It is a camera that takes 2 1/4 inc- pictures on 117 rollfilm. The first one was introduced in 1900.



2) Who invented it and when?

Eastman Kodak, in February 1900.



3) How did it channge society, and of course, the photography world?

It changed society cause people could take pcitures and it led to video cameras. It changed the photography world by opening it up to all sorts of new ideas and made it so people could take more pictures on the go and it led them to video cameras.
